The Art Gallery, in the heart of Sydney, is located on Gadigal land, within one of the world’s most beautiful cultural precincts. Just a short distance from the Sydney CBD, nestled between tranquil parklands and the picturesque harbour, the Art Gallery is one of Australia’s flagship museums, showcasing the best of Australian and international art.
Each year, over one million visitors enjoy the Art Gallery and our collection of art. The Art Gallery of New South Wales is located within beautiful parklands overlooking Sydney Harbour and only a 15-minute walk from the city centre.
The Art Gallery of New South Wales is an art museum campus with two buildings and an art garden, on Gadigal Country. The new North Building is next to our original building, now known as the South Building.
