Created through a highly collaborative design process, the office reflects the authentic culture of SmithGroup’s team while supporting a variety of work styles. A free-address model encourages flexibility and choice, with thoughtfully designed settings including open collaboration zones, focused solo stations, and a Den-like quiet space. Movable pin-up displays anchor the work zones, supporting both creative exploration and structured teamwork.
At the heart of the workplace, the Central Library and social Living Room provide opportunities for connection, knowledge-sharing, and community, while a Model Shop and Makers Space foster hands-on creativity. Throughout, the environment is enriched by hand-painted murals and raw materials sourced from local Angeleno artists, bringing a sense of place and cultural vibrancy into the everyday employee experience.
