EXPLORE THE FUTURE OF WORK AND THE WORKPLACE

  • CONFERENCE
  • Westpac, 200 Barangaroo Avenue, Sydney

WORKTECH Sydney is a leading conference exploring how the future of work and the workplace is being shaped by the intersection of people, place, and technology. It is part of the leading global events series, WORKTECH.

Bringing together senior leaders, strategists, designers, technologists, and workplace professionals from across industries, WORKTECH Sydney examines how organisations are rethinking work, space, culture, and digital infrastructure in response to rapid change.

The programme is designed for senior professionals responsible for workplace strategy, corporate real estate, facilities, HR, technology, architecture, and design.

Through a mix of keynote presentations, expert panels, and case studies, WORKTECH Sydney provides a multi-disciplinary, insight-led forum to explore emerging trends — from workplace intelligence and employee experience to hybrid work, digital transformation, and the evolving role of the office.

Held in some of Sydney’s most groundbreaking workspaces, the event connects a global community of professionals to share ideas, benchmark approaches, and gain practical insight into how organisations are shaping the workplace of the future.

Last Year at WORKTECH Sydney

WORKTECH25 Sydney brought together senior leaders from leading global institutions, including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Westpac, Telstra, Lendlease, Transport for NSW, Reserve Bank of Australia, Suncorp and Optiver.

Conversations centred on how organisations are redefining workplace value—through culture-led strategy, evidence-based design, hybrid experience, and the practical application of data, AI, and digital infrastructure. Sessions explored the role of place in the digital age, intentional presence, workplace intelligence, and how physical environments support performance, wellbeing, and connection.

Delegates left with clear, actionable insights into designing flexible workplaces that attract rather than mandate attendance, using data with purpose, and aligning space, technology, and culture to support long-term organisational outcomes.

Key Themes

Space as Strategy

The most effective workplaces don’t happen by accident – they are shaped by deliberate decisions at every stage of the project lifecycle, from briefing and business case to delivery, change, and post-occupancy evaluation.

Senior industry professionals share candid lessons from real projects, exploring how space decisions shape culture, attract talent, drive productivity, and reflect organisational ambition. What separates workplaces that deliver strategic value from those that simply look good?

Intelligent by Design

Workplaces are becoming thinking – and moving – systems. From AI-powered analytics and digital twins to robotics and physical AI operating within buildings, intelligence is embedded in the fabric of space.

How do organisations design environments that are data-ready, automation-enabled and built for continuous optimisation?

Human-Centred Advantage

As automation accelerates, human capability becomes the edge. We examine how neuroscience, behavioural science and design support focus, decision-making and collaboration – ensuring technology enhances, not erodes, human performance. How do we design for cognitive strength in an AI-enabled world?

Magnetic Workplaces

In a world of choice, the office must attract. From experience design and hospitality to sustainability and brand expression, we explore how organisations create workplaces people actively choose to be part of.

What makes a workplace compelling enough to earn the commute?
