Getting useful results from Cloud based AI platforms requires data, in the absence of a standard many disparate and bespoke schemas for what the data payloads look have emerged, along with complex, cumbersome and expensive Independent Data Layers. UDMI Schema has been developed and proposed as an open standard and it is gaining popularity as the Open Protocol for Smart Buildings. Many devices now support this natively reducing the cost and complexity of deploying Smart at scale and making Smart Buildings more serviceable and without supplier lock in.
