Conference venue

Following the success of our 2018 Basel event, we are excited to be returning to Switzerland for the inaugural WORKTECH19 Geneva conference.

With its new world-class campus, HEAD – Genève now lies right at the heart of the city in three industrial buildings with a glorious past, as well as the historic former home of the École des Arts Industriels. By bringing together most of teaching onto one site in 2017, HEAD – Genève underscored the school’s commitment to establishing a centre of excellence for art and design in Geneva. On arrival please enter the venue through the front entrance, via Avenue de Châtelaine 7. Directional signage and a member of the WORKTECH team will direct you to the registration desk.

See below for more information about HEAD Campus and how to get there.

HEAD CAMPUS

From its founding until 2017, HEAD – Genève has built an outstanding reputation both nationally and internationally, expanding its teaching to six buildings spread across the city.

Created in 2006 from the merger of two prestigious schools, the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and the Haute École d’Arts Appliqués, HEAD – Genève draws on a rich cultural and artistic heritage to nurture young creative talent nationally and internationally. Renowned for the quality of its bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Fine Arts, Cinema, Interior Architecture, Space and Communication, Visual Communication as well as Fashion and Accessory Design, it has established itself as one of the leading schools of art and design in Europe.

Bâtiment H, HEAD Campus

As an academic and cultural institution, HEAD – Genève has forged close links with the local artistic community and economy. The decision to create a campus in the heart of the city underscores the school’s commitment to establishing a centre of excellence for art and design in Geneva. Promoting international exchanges and interdisciplinary collaboration, this new creative hub has also expanded its Institute for Research in Art and Design.

The superb Gustave & Léonard Hentsch Park, donated to the city of Geneva by Bénédict Hentsch and open to students and the public alike, completes this space as the home of over 700 students from 40 different countries, as well as 200 teaching staff.
