We are looking for an ambitious Events Assistant to support our team producing events in cities around the world. The successful applicant will be responsible for event logistics and marketing support, delegate communication and registration, researching and generating a lead ecosystem for conferences and events, attending WORKTECH events and supporting the team to ensure that in-person and virtual events are delivered successfully.

Requirements:

  • We want to hear from enthusiastic candidates with some office and (or) events related experience.
  • You will be a self-motivated individual with a tenacious approach
    A good team player
  • Have first-class organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Competent with basic Microsoft packages, experience of CRM systems advantageous, but not essential

Location: Based in Southwest London (Hampton Wick, near Kingston upon Thames), currently hybrid working (2 days office, 3 days home).

Qualifications:

  • Event Planning: 1 year (preferred)
  • Office: 1 year (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 Year (required)

Experience: Office Experience, Events experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delegate communication and registration – to be the first point of contact for our customers on the phone and via email, dealing with event bookings, and customer queries
  • Responsible for setting up delegate tickets on our online shop and registering delegates on our CRM system, Salesforce
  • Responsible for delegate badge system and registration desk and at the events
  • Event speaker research, communication and acquisition
  • Researching companies and potential delegates that align with our global event series and might be interested in attending
  • Telemarketing to potential attendees to help with delegate acquisition
  • To support event marketing and social media campaigns for the events
  • To support event logistics, before during and after the events with tasks such as research for venues, suppliers (catering, photography etc), video editing of the event presentations etc.
  • To help prepare and collate materials for use during the events
  • To support delivery of events (across international locations) and be a key point of contact on-site helping with event logistics
  • Supporting the wider event team with ad hoc duties and other UNWIRED projects
  • Participating in internal team meetings and contributing to or producing weekly/monthly reports as required
